Once, he passes a judgment against a vicious politician, Balagam Brahmaji, that his election is invalid. Engaged Brahmaji wiles by accusing Jagadish Chandra Prasad's brother-in-law Balaram of a murderer, for which he mandates a death sentence. For this, his sibling Kanaka Durga loathes and quits the town, showing animosity to her brother.
